Euro Design Master Builder Ltd

Voyin started his career in the home building industry working for his parents at the ripe age of 10. He can remember red lining walls and making copies of construction working drawings on the old ammonia copy machines, "nothing like taking 20 second per page to copy," says Voyin, "I made 5 cents per page and saved up to buy my first skateboard."

By 2004 he had graduated from the copy room to become an Assistant Site Superintendent at Euro Design Inc. Learning the industry from the ground up provided invaluable experience and within a year and a half Voyin replaced the Site Superintendent. He continued on as Construction Manager until 2013 when Voyin left for a short time to work for a production builder. In 2015 he completed his Master Builder Designation through the Professional Homebuilder’s Association before taking some time off to envision where he wanted to be in business and in life.

During this time off, Voyin educated himself about the impacts of the building industry on the environment and he realized "that we have to make a drastic change in the way we manage our resources and treat our planet." He sought out individuals who shared his vision of a sustainable future, and with the support of an amazing friend, in October of 2015 Euro Design Master Builder Ltd was born.

"I was fortunate to grow up in a home full of family and friends where cooking and entertaining were at the heart of our values" says Voyin. "Today, we design homes around these same values to promote a healthy home environment where sustainability and functionality come together." Combining healthy family values with a sustainable home provides him with a huge sense of fulfillment and gratefulness that he is providing the tools families need to lessen their footprint on the planet.

Euro Design History

Villy and Gordana bring a vast store of knowledge to the home building industry. Both studied architecture and engineering at the University of Belgrade, and worked extensively there, perfecting their craft to exacting European standards.

In 1982, they emigrated to Canada and chose Edmonton as their new home. Within three months of their arrival in Canada, Villy and Gordana had started their own design company, which later evolved into Euro Design Inc. 

Since then they have been the creative team behind one of the most respected home design and drafting companies in the region. Their work with local builders and private clients has resulted in more than 15,000 homes built in the Edmonton area with the distinctive flavour unique to Euro Design including many showhomes, dream , homes, and lottery homes. "Over the years, our designs have been recognized by winning many SAM Awards for local builders that we work with," says Villy. "From there, it was a logical continuation to go into building homes."

Villy values the relationships and respect he has established with his customers, and makes it a high priority to maintain it. "We work to very high standards all the time. We always try to give a bit more, to make our customers happy. We want to give them the best for the money they are spending."

Edmonton has been a good place to do business, and it's been a wonderful environment for raising their two sons. Villy and Gordana share cosmopolitan tastes in fine music, art, theatre, including an affinity for good jazz and cuisine.
